    Description:
    Antique etched clear etched American molded glass table top syrup. The syrup has a flat round base with flared rising curved sides giving the syrup a bulbuls form. the syrup has a metal top with a moving closure with a thumb piece which when pushed down will open a spout to allow for the pouring of the syrup. The piece has a handle, which we believe is made of Bakelite. The exterior of the piece has a floral etched design, while the bottom has a 20 point molded star. The bottom of the handle is stamped Patent 1,884,840 which corresponds to 1932. Just a great looking antique from the 1930s.     The cup is ~4" high, is ~2" diameter at the base, and ~4" at its widest including the handle and spout.

    Unknown.
    Marks:
    Unmarked as to the maker. Has markings indicating that it is covered by Patent Number 1,884,840 (see last photo) which dates it at 1932.

    Condition:
    The cup is in excellent condition given that it is over 70 years old. It has no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. The piece has scratches to the top, some soiling and stains, but nothing to worry about. The handle is intact and has developed a nice warm patina.
