Carbo T2 Soft-Attach Ratchamatic ratchet blocks complete the line of T2 blocks with Soft-Attach soft attachment system (Harken patent).
The weight of this high strength block is only a few grams. This, thanks to the fiber-reinforced composite material cheeks, the hardcoat anodized aluminum pulleys, the soft and light attachment system, and a minimum number of moving parts in the ratchet mechanism. All T2 blocks are fastened or spliced ​​through the load center of the block, lightening the cheeks and offering an additional degree of safety to the system. The type of attachment allows adjustment by means of a ratchet near the deck. The type of fixing or the splice secures the block at the right height and keeps it in the correct position.
The load exerted on the rope automatically activates the mechanism that allows you to switch without difficulty from free rotation to ratchet mode. It is suitable for use on mainsheet and jib sheets which without load can slide freely when turning a buoy as well as with asymmetrical spinnakers which must be released very quickly during jibes. T2 Ratchamatic blocks are clearly labeled with contrasting directional arrows indicating correct line insertion.
