If you missed the boat on the Krypton Pro's this year, not to worry the Strike 110 is a 4 buckle traditionally designed boot that will fill that void for you. The Strike is 98mm in the last and has a 110 flex, in other words, this is for someone looking for a high performance fit for aggressive skiing. The Strike is one great looking boot and even better fitting especially with Dalbello's Contour 4 design where key fit areas are sculpted and contoured to the bones in the foot, more so than any other boots on the market. We both know that a deal like this doesn't come around everyday, make some moves on the Strike 110 boots.
Note:
The UK size is listed on the box so don't fret, go by the mondo size and everything will be a-okay.
UK Shoe Size Listed:
The equivalent UK shoe size is printed next to the Boot Sole Length on the heel of the boot as well as on the sizing stickers. This is not the American size, so make sure you still go by the Mondo size and/or boot sole length.
98mm last:
Forefoot width of 98mm for racing performance, not as concerned about comfort, although modern boots do a great job of keeping their performance boots quite comfortable.
110 Flex Rating:
This boot is too stiff for beginners, and would be a very aggressive fit for intermediates. 110 flex is going to be a stiff and performance oriented shell that is recommend for advanced/expert skiers who need a very responsive boot.
Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles:
These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
Height adjustable spoiler: A quick adjustment via velcro raises the rear top of the boot to give more support on the back of the leg, or when lowered, gives a little more room and comfort for the skier.
Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.
Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads:
This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
Contour 4 Fit Technology:
The shell of the boot is designed to be more anatomically correct than any other. Four parts of the foot are crucial in ensuring a close fitting but comfortable boot. The toes, ankles, heel and width of the boot are shaped in a more natural, ergonomic way.
45mm Strap:
Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.
Shock Absorbing Footboard:
The footboard, sometimes called a zeppa board that runs the entire length of your foot underneath the liner, is made of a responsive rubber material designed to absorb vibrations in choppy terrain, while hucking cliffs in backcountry or landing jumps in the park.
DB Comp Pro Liner: This is a top of the line Heat moldable liner from Dalbello that will help keep your feet happy in your boots. The liner is most of what makes a boot perform well, and this liner is no exception. An even blend of performance fit and comfort features so you can ski more and worry less about your feet.
