Glass Covered Candy Dish Amberina Wedding Box Vintage Reverse Footed Pedestal

Description

Lovely wedding box lidded dish stylized from the Victorian period was originally used for the bride to store a piece of her wedding cake in.  Nowadays, we call them candy or nut dishes, trinket boxes for jewelry, or used as decor.  This coloration is "reverse Amberina", reversed in color from standard Amberina.  Originally made by the New England Glass Co. out of Cambridge, MA, which was later run by Libbey Glass Co.  Measure's 7" tall and 4.5" wide, 4.5" in depth.
