    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
K2's flagship boot for the 2016 season is the Spyne 130. Coming in at a 130 flex and a 97mm last width, this boot is for the best of the best skiing A.F.A.P. (as fast as possible) all over the resort. The 130 flex offers significant support for expert skiers and the "Energy Interlock" spine helps smooth out the energy transfer between your boot and ski. Advanced to Expert skiers, this boot is calling your name and we think you should listen.
    130 Flex Rating:
Higher than average stiffness means you should be skiing pretty fast to warrant a boot of this flex.
    97mm Last:
This width is pretty narrow, and is reserved for skiers with narrow feet or skiers with wider feet and a high level of pain threshold. The narrower than average width aids in quicker response between the skier and skis.
    Tongue Pull:
A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
    Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles:
These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.
    Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads:
This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
    Padded Mid Grip Sole:
Dual injected Thermo Plastic Urethane in the middle of the boot sole for added grip and traction while walking on rocks or riding on snowmobiles.
    Energy Interlock System:
A rivet-free technology that locks the cuff and shell in both the forward and aft direction. This fundamental technology gives the boots life and power ideal for all-mountain and freeride skiing where you encounter a wide variety of conditions and terrain. When the boot flexes forward, the Interlock stretches, creating a buildup of energy. This not only puts lower stresses on the boot material but also produces a smoother, more efficient load transfer, delivering a more natural flex and dynamic performance in all conditions.
    Power Wedge Spoiler:
A removable spoiler that accommodates varying calf shapes and adjusting desired forward lean angle. The power wedge increases forward lean by two degrees, moving the angle 12 to 14 degrees.
    Powerfuse Spyne Tech:
A rear co-injected shaped design that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock, the PowerFuse SpYne maximizes fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness for sustained performance and responsiveness in all terrain. Because of the SpYne, we are able to optimize materials in the cuff and shell, eliminating excessive vibrations in rough terrain.
    PowerCinch Strap:
This boot features a 40mm PowerCinch strap that uses a locking cam to cinch the strap down nice and tight around the shin. Similar to a Booster Strap, the PowerCinch helps to reduce shin bang and enhance the performance and comfort of your boots.
    PrecisionFit Intuition Liner:
Our premium, heat-moldable liner, the PrecisionFit INTUITION®, is molded/lasted to deliver a precise “out-of-the-box” fit, minimize “dead spots,” and optimize power transfer between the liner and shell. Heat-Moldable Asymmetric Tongues provide the necessary comfort and performance needed to reduce shin bang and ensure smooth, precise flex initiation. The Power Wedge and Power Collar offer varied forward lean and the upper cuff support you demand for charging hard.
