Rossignol has drastically improved the fit of their boots by implementing "Sensor Blade" technology which features a more anatomical fit. 101mm Last:
A performance width for advanced recreational skiers all the way up to expert level skiers. This is also suitable for skiers with narrower than average feet.
3M Thinsulate Insulation:
A lightweight, completely re-engineered liner with 3M Thinsulate Insulation keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions. Thinsulate Platinum surrounds the whole foot while standard Thinsulate is placed in the toe box only.
50mm Power Strap:
This power strap is huge! 50mm means a lot of power, and acts like an extra buckle to keep the top of the boot together. The strap helps transmit power to the turn and better control while skiing.
Tongue Pull:
A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
130 Flex Rating:
Higher than average stiffness means you should be skiing pretty fast to warrant a boot of this flex.
Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads:
This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles:
These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
This shell of this boot is made with Polyether material which has a great temperature resistance (it won't significantly stiffen up in the cold) is quite durable and will maintain modifications such as toe punches etc. For a high end boot such as this one, this is the type of shell you need.
